Not for Sale just yet. This is my personal #1 of the Phaez Alchemy heads that I will be using to make videos for each of our guitars. But... there will be more like this fairly soon.
This head is all tube 18 watts with power scaling that volume-wise can get VERY LOUD and can also make cookin' tube sounds at bedroom volume as well. There is no need to have a gigging head and another practice or bedroom / studio head since this one head easily covers the volume territory extremely well with its Gain, Master volume AND Watts knobs. The sounds / tones of this head are many. It cleans up very well... but it has tone to spare from clean to metal. I have no problem finding the sweet spots for just about anything I am after at the time.
I would say this valve head is best described as being like a Marshall but with some manners as needed... or not. It is very versatile without pedals, but it does take pedals very well (and has an effects loop) so nudging it into
very metal territory is not a problem at all. I have used this so far with a single 10", two 10", a single 12", and a 4 x 12" Marshall 1960A cabinet. All different. All gloriously usable. This is one sweet boutique head.
There will be another version soon that will be more in the Fender Blackface arena, but again with more to offer than the originals.
This beauty was designed and built for us by renowned and respected Randy Fay of Canada's Phaez Amps. He has quite a following of devoted Phaez owners already. He certainly has given us what we asked for... and more. The Phaez / Alchemy tube amps will be unique to Alchemy.
